Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (TypeScript / Node.js / React)
Lead the design and development of modern cloud-native distributed microservices for an established Australian enterprise fintech platform.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Architect and build high-throughput microservices using TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS serverless technologies.
- Develop responsive, accessible UI workflows using modern React, Tailwind CSS, and state management patterns.
- Champion engineering quality through comprehensive unit/integration testing (Jest, Playwright) and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Technical Architects in an agile environment.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through structured code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Candidate Requirements & Vetting Criteria
- 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience with modern TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js.
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining distributed microservices on AWS (Lambda, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB or PostgreSQL).
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks, state management, and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and API security (OAuth2, JWT, rate limiting).
- Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident).
